Classic Trucks

Classic Trucks is a project that, at its core, is about discovery and challenging oneself. As drummer and vocalist for Langkamer, Jarman felt it was time to try his hand at learning the guitar. 2 years and £10 on Gumtree later and the result is a project that draws from Jarman’s “chief pool of influences”, namely Neutral Milk Hotel, Bill Callahan, Songs: Ohia and Sparklehorse, whilst also pulling in elements from pop, folk and his love of hip hop.

New EP ‘Clown Town’ is a rich and varied collection of snappy, concise songs that explore themes of capitalism, greed, love, nature. With most tracks landing between the one- and two-minute mark, the EP is sharp and self-assured—never overstaying its welcome. Instead, it delivers its ideas with clarity and punch, offering a tightly wound listening experience that feels urgent and engaging.
