We first discovered the Pork Pie boys just after the release of their first EP, a wonderful Pavement-esque slice of post-punk recorded in their lounge. However, by the time we got round to releasing their sophomore record Post Maudlin, this sound had expanded into something deeper, a brooding and atmospheric proto-punk that drew on grunge, post-hardcore and alternative scenes in equal measure.
A few years on, it’s aged fantastically, especially thanks to the two single killer singles of Dinner And Wine and Idolise The Idle. We’re always hoping there’s going to be a third record soon.
Limited run of CDs. Sold out folks.
